Thriving post divorce - four essential reflections
The latest figures available from Statistics Canada (2005) which don’t include the breakdown of cohabitating couples put the risk of divorce by the 30th wedding anniversary at 38% for the country as a whole—ranging from 17% in Newfoundland and 50% in Quebec. If we were to include the breakdown of long-term cohabitation relationships that figure would probably be closer to the 50% figure that gets bandied about.
