Ruth Garrett is the Managing Director of Integral Coaching and Meditation, assisting leaders and organizations to achieve strategic aims and objectives, while aligning those endeavours to the goals and aspirations of the people involved. 

For the past 17 years, Ruth has been an organizational behaviour and change consultant, as well as a coach, mentor and facilitator assisting organizations in turning their strategic goals into operational excellence.  She has worked with a wide range of clients in the corporate, retail, manufacturing, public and education sectors to resolve issues and facilitate in challenges, which, in the past, hindered their goal of realizing the highest levels of bottom line growth.

As a consultant, who in the past grew a consultancy to 125 clients, Ruth recognizes the challenges an organization and its individuals face when growing an organization to its highest potential.  Ruth is well known for her empathic and pragmatic approach to any issue or challenge, as well as for her energetic, proactive and experienced laser focus to these challenges and drawing out the best possible solutions.

Ruth lives in the Toronto area near her two grown sons and their families. She is active in her community as a member of an advisory committee to the local council pertaining to the upkeep and development of local recreational trails. Ruth is also a board member of Breaking Down Barriers a not-for-profit organization promoting accessibility and integration for all members of society, no matter what their level of physical or mental capabilities may be.

In 2006, Ruth co-authored "Mentoring in Action: A Practical Guide for Managers" (Kogan Page Limited).

• Evaluated the effectiveness (ROI) of the coaching program within a UK national manufacturing enterprise.
• Developed a coaching manual for coaches within a UK food manufacturing enterprise. 
• Co-designed/facilitated a coaching/mentoring program for national UK engineering organization.
• Worked with Senior Directors (mentors) as well as high potential managers (mentees) within Siemens Turkey to develop an effective coaching/mentoring program.

• Mentored women who were in the start-up phase of business.
• Volunteer mentor to the Enterprise Agency, which is a business advisory organization focused on small and medium sized organisation start-ups.

Public Sector 

• Played a strategic role in organizing and leading open space learning events for the National Health Service (NHS).
• Evaluation of the National Blood Service’s Mentoring Theory and Practice Program.
• Created a national policy document for the NHS - “Towards a framework for Mentoring in the NHS”.
• Produced a document researching “The Benefits of Mentoring” for East Mentor's Forum - funded by the East of England Development Agency.
• Facilitated action learning for managers within Local Government across the Yorkshire/Humberside region of the UK.

Educational Environment

• Coach, mentor and action learning facilitator to senior managers within the secondary school and college environments in the UK while an Associate of the Centre for Excellence in Leadership.
• Taught on an MSc in Organizational Change and Coaching and Mentoring both in the UK and Switzerland.
• Designed and taught a program for undergraduates and MBAs at École De Hautes Études Commerciales du Nord  (EDHEC Business School) in Lille and Nice France focusing on the area of transformational leadership.
